SEO Keyword Research
“How to Uncover the Most Profitable Keywords that Your Red Hot Buyers are Using Right Now to Look for Your Products & Services”
SEO keyword research is the bedrock of any search engine marketing or ppc management. Going after the top ranking for a keyword that you haven’t tested could mean a wasted internet marketing investment. You could spend months and a ton of cash on SEO, only to find that all that keyword brings you is browsers and not buyers.
Pay per click advertising is perfect for testing keywords. You can set up a quick campaign, run it for a week or so and get some conclusive results that tell you whether that keyword phrase makes you any money or not. If it’s profitable we can begin targeting it with search engine optimization. If it’s a loser we scrap it.
If you have got an existing website and Google Analytics we’ll go through it with a fine toothed comb to unearth your most profitable keywords before we start your online marketing strategy.
Once we know what these are it makes sense to improve your rankings for those keywords before anything else as they virtually guarantee you the fastest return on investment for our SEO services.
We will also get together a list of other keywords that could be profitable to your business. We do this using three methods:
- Reverse engineering your competitor’s websites and SEO strategies to discover the keywords they are targeting. This way we can beat them at their own game.
- Using several keyword suggestion tools including Google’s we find the most popular keywords in your niche.
- We then use another nifty tool to gauge the ‘commercial intent’ of each search term. This tells us how likely the person typing in that search term is to have their wallet out ready to buy.
“We’ve worked with two other SEO Companies before we started working with Bradley. Neither of them ever looked at our Google Analytics before deciding what keywords for us to target, we just gave them a list of what we wanted to get listed for.
The first thing Bradley did for us was find the keywords we were already making money on and improved our rankings for them. This virtually paid for the SEO itself and we’re now targeting some of the other keywords on our wishlist.”

Whilst we’re getting a feel for the traffic volumes and level of competition, we cherry pick a few keywords that will be relatively easy to rank for. These are what I like to call the ‘low hanging fruit’.
The low hanging fruit tends to be longer keyword phrases made up of three or more words. These are often referred to as ‘long tail keywords’. As a rule of thumb search phrases of two words or less are usually the most competitive.
Long tail phrases can often be the terms the buyers are using once they have narrowed down their search from ‘LCD TVs’ to ’42″ Sony LCD TV’.
By ranking a few longtail keywords along with a healthy mix of some of the higher competition phrases, you will see a return on your SEO investment much sooner.
If you’ve been in your market for a while you’ll have a pretty good feel for the keywords that you want to go after so you can give us your wishlist to get started with. We’ll run it through our tests just to make sure they’re going to make you money.
If you’re looking for a new market or niche we can do the keyword research for you as part of your due diligence before investing in a website or any marketing.
Our Competitive Intelligence Reports will take our keyword research to another level and actually monetize what each keyword with a top ten ranking is worth to you in hard cash. The report will also tell you what’s it’s going to cost for an online marketing strategy to get you there.
This will tell you point blank whether a market is worth competing in at all as no matter how good we are at SEO, some competing sites like ebay and Amazon just can’t be budged.
We like to think of ourselves as online profitability partners for our clients and I know some of them feel the same.
